Recess Chicago and Old Irving Brewing Co. return for the fifth year of their exclusive Recess brew; this time inviting a bold, playful, unmistakably Recess charged label design. Inspired by the bar’s vibrant, game filled social atmosphere, the project celebrates summer patio energy, nostalgic chaos, and the grown‑up‑playground spirit that defines Recess in the West Loop. My concept draws from the table games, events, and shared memories that shape the venue’s community, using illustration to spark personal connection while remaining open to new interpretations. The final outcome transforms the annual beer release into a participatory social moment, extending Recess’s culture of connection through collectible design and merchandise.
